Esteemed guest, important personalities, captain of industries and and friends of the Lions club are expected to gather in the Lagos on the 3rd of August, 2024 to witness the of the presentation of Lion Tolulope Senbanjo PMJF, NLCF as the District Governor for 2024/2025 Lions Service Year. The epoch ceremony which is going into the history books is one that would see Lion Tolu become the youngest ever District Governor in Africa, a feat that is prestigious and humbling to attain.
The Event which is scheduled to hold at “The Jewel Aeida Event Place” in the Lekki axis of Lagos State also doubles as a 250 million fundraising luncheon for community service projects. The core project for the Lions Service Year is the building and equipping a food bank in Ikeja and making it accessible to the under privileged. As one of the global causes of the Lions Club is hunger relief, the aim of the food bank is to help people in the community who cannot afford to feed daily. The mission is to establish a community free from hunger and tackle malnutrition especially in children. The food bank will also offer nutrition advice and financial counseling to people. The establishment of the food bank is also aimed to address food insecurity in Lagos State. This project is designed to give the public access to healthy food which can improve people’s health and aid good healty living.
