AN EVENING OF LEADERSHIP, UNITY AND GLAMOUR: CELEBRATING THE DG PRESENTATION AT THE JEWEL AEIDA

The event was a significant highlight of our calendar and witnessed an impressive turnout of Lions, Lion Leaders, distinguished personalities, and celebrities. The ceremony was graced by Barr. Bimbo Salu-Hundeyin, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, bringing the Governor’s commendations and support for the Lions Club’s ongoing efforts in community service.

• *Keynote Address:* The keynote speech was delivered by Lion Oluseun Onigbinde MJF, NLCF, the Co-founder and Director of BudgIT. His address was both inspiring and educational, focusing on the importance of transparency and accountability in governance. He also enlightened the audience on the transformative potential of agriculture, emphasizing the need to reimagine our uncultivated lands—often viewed as zones of economic mystery—into zones of economic prosperity. He urged the audience to see agriculture as a straight-line business rather than merely a way of life, highlighting its crucial role in driving economic growth.

• *International Director’s Goodwill:* Our esteemed International Director, Lion Dame Princess Adetope Tychus PMJF, NLCF, shared her goodwill message, reinforcing the global vision and mission of the Lions Club. Her words served as a reminder of our shared goals and the importance of unity in achieving them.

• *Oath of Office:* The oath of office was officially administered by Lion Anogwi Anyawu PMJF, NLCF, the Multiple Council Chairperson, who also had the Honor of presenting the Youngest District Governor in Africa. This moment marked a significant milestone in our district’s leadership journey.

• *Distinguished Attendance:* The event saw the presence of Past DGs, Past Council Chairpersons, and current DGs from other Districts within MD 404 Nigeria, all coming together to celebrate this important occasion. Their presence underscored the strength and solidarity of the Lions community.

• *Surprise Visit:* Adding to the excitement, Lion Deji Olukokun PMJF, NLCF, the District Chairperson for Marketing and Communication, made a surprise visit all the way from the United States, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the theme: Service First, Creating a Lasting Impact.

• *Celebrities in Attendance:* The event was also graced by notable celebrities, including Tony Tetuila, 9ice, Clever Jay, and Tobi Shang, who added glamour and excitement to the occasion, making it even more memorable.
