CAL TAIWO ADEWUNMI
TAIWO OLANREWAJU SAMUEL popularly called TOS was born over 48 years ago in Lagos, Nigeria. After completing his Primary and Secondary education with distinction results, he began his training in Estate Management at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Ogun State where he completed his National Diploma in Estate Management with Upper Credit. He subsequently obtained Higher National Diploma in Estate Management (Upper Credit) from Yaba College of Technology in 1999. He was the President of Estate Management Students’ Association (EMSA Yabatech Chapter for 1998-1999), Post Graduate Diploma in Estate Management (Upper Credit) from Federal University of Technology, Akure in 2006 and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Real Estate from the prestigious College of Estate Management, University of Reading, White knights, England in 2012. He had earlier graduated with Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Marketing Management from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Lagos Study Centre in 2010. In pursuit of further academic excellence, he obtained a Doctor of Business Administration with specialization in Real Estate Management (Distinction) from Warren Stone University, Chicago, USA in 2022.
TOS as he is fondly called by friends and loved ones belong to several professional organizations such as Associate Member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV, Registered Member of the Estate Surveyors & Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) as well as a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
Taiwo Olanrewaju Samuel Adewunmi has about twenty four (24) years working experience in the Estate Surveying and Valuation practice and worked in various companies and multinationals such as Solid Homes Limited, Skyview Estates Limited (a subsidiary of Honeywell Group) and MTN Nigeria Communications Limited. He rose to become General Manager (Property) in a Group of Companies (Modandola Group) before voluntarily resigning to go into full private practice since 2015. He is presently the Managing Partner of TAIWO ADEWUNMI CONSULTING (Estate Surveyors & Valuers) and also Property Management Consultant for Food Concepts Plc.
TOS developed interest in the welfare of his fellowman and his community at an early stage in life and became an Alpha Leo Club member in March 1992. He later moved on to the Omega Leo Club and became Charter President of Agege Leo Club in 1999. He rose to the highest position in the Leo Club when he became the Leo District President (District 404 Nigeria) in 2002-2003 after winning several laurels such as 100% Club President, Leo of the Year for 1998-1999, Leo Award of Honour, 100% District President, Most Outstanding Leo District Officer for two consecutive years, New Horizon Award for Youth Outreach amongst others.
His quest for service to humanity continued when he graduated to become a Lion in 2004 and was elected Charter President of Lagos Central Lions Club. He went on to serve in other higher capacities such as Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, District Chief of Protocol, District Committee Chairperson, District Cabinet Secretary, MD Convention Coordinator, MD Leo Program Chairperson, MD Coordinator for Lions Day with the United Nations, MD Coordinator for Information Technology ,MD LCIF Coordinator and so on. He was appointed LCIF Area B Leader in 2022 following successes achieved as MD Coordinator during Campaign 100. Lion Adewunmi a three Diamond Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow (PMJF) currently serves as LCIF Constitutional Area Leader for CA 8 Africa (the first Leo in Nigeria and Africa to rise to this exalted position).
TOS is happily married to Lion Ololade Adewunmi, a fellow Lions Club member whom he met as a Leo while he was serving as the Leo District President. They are blessed with children.
