On the 22nd of November, 2024, Lions District 404B2 made history at the All African Forum in Marrakech in Morocco. The District as well as our amiable District Governor Lion Tolulope Senbanjo was recognized for the great work on extension and club formation. Of all the districts in Africa, only two DG’s were awarded the Leadership Medal and presidential Medal, and DG Tolulope Senbanjo PMJF NLCF was one of them. This is a testament to the good work we are currently doing as a District and speaks volumes of the hard work of the GMT and GST coordinators; Lion Phina Origho PMJF NLCF and Lion Franklin Udah NLCF.
The 5th edition of the Lions Club All Africa Forum took place from November 20 to 23, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. This event brought together Lions Club members from across Africa to promote collaboration and share service experiences. The forum featured various activities, including leadership training sessions, discussions on service projects, and opportunities for members to network and exchange ideas. A highlight of the event was the Leo Forum, dedicated to young members, which occurred on Saturday, November 23. The program of event at this edition include Press Conference for Lions International Executive Officers, New Voices Seminar, Consultative Assembly, parade of nations, Mission 1.5 seminar amongst other. The highlight of the event particularly for Multiple District 404 Nigeria is the transfer of baton/Africa forum flag to the new International Director of Constitutional Area VIII Africa; Lion Adetope Tychus who is the first female to hold the role in Africa,
A special shout out and kudos to all the Lions that has helped one way or the other in the forming of all the new clubs organized so far this Lions year with special appreciation to the global service partner chairperson Lion Olukokun Adedeji PMJF, NLCF who helped with organizing three out of the seven new clubs. The District goal is the formation of ten clubs and with the support and continued contributions of Lions of District 404B2, success is inevitable.
