Lion Gbolagade Adebisi (Gbola) graduated from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1975 with an Honors degree in Pharmacy.
A widely traveled professional and entrepreneur, he obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Pan Atlantic University (Lagos Business School) in 2006. He has had a distinguished career in the Pharmaceutical Industry with concentration and specialization in the sales and marketing of health care products and devices, before retiring in 1982 to set up his own business. He established the first Community Pharmacy practice in the Alimosho Local Government area in 1982. The company has become a fully diversified chain of businesses, spanning the importation of medical equipment, drugs and surgical consumables; setting up of clinical simulation centers, private security guards and building construction.
He became a member of the Lagos Akowonjo Lions Club in 1999 when he was elected as the Charter President. He rose rapidly through the ranks. He has been Zone and Region Chairperson. He became the last District Governor of District 404B Nigeria in 2014.
In 2017, he was elected the Multiple Council Chairperson for Multiple District 404 Nigeria and the official head of the Association in Nigeria.
He has been Vice Chairman, Elders’ Forum, District 404B1, Nigeria and the Chairman, Core Projects, District 404B1, Nigeria He is presently the Global Action Team (GAT) Area Leader, CA 8B, comprising MD 404 Nigeria and District 418, Ghana.
He is married with children and grandchildren.
