PDG Aare Lekan Owolabi PMJF NLCF

Lion Aare Lekan Owolabi PMJF, NLCF is in his late Fifties and was born in Ibadan the state capital of Oyo, into the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Abdulrafiu Ayinde Owolabi of the famous Ija-Offa compound, Gbagura section of Egba Land. He attended United Native African Church School (UNA) Ekotedo Ibadan for his Primary Education and later proceeded to Rev Kuti Memorial Grammar School at Abeokuta Ogun State for his Secondary School education where he passed his WAEC with distinction.

He enrolled at Yaba College of Technology to study Industrial Chemistry where he obtained his Higher National Diploma with Upper Credit in 1989. He went further to Lagos State University for his master’s degree in Business Administration with Specialization in International Business Management where he graduated with Distinctions in 1997.

He worked briefly at West African Portland Cement Sagamu, Ogun State. After his mandatory National Youth Service, He worked at Istabaraqim Nigeria Limited an Indigenous Chemical raw materials importer. He is currently the Founder and Managing Director of the following companies: Owochem Oil & Gas Enterprises, Tamarind Investment Limited and Yandu Interglobal Investment Limited.

He is a devout Muslim, Philanthropist, Socialite and a committed Family man, a charter member of Lagos Paddles Lions Club, where he served meritoriously as the treasurer, 2nd Vice President, 1st Vice President and the President. He has also served in many capacities at the district level. He is a member of the following clubs;

  1. Abeokuta Club
  2. Abeokuta Sports Club
  3. Royalty Club of Egbaland.

He served as District 404B2 district Governor in 2022/23 LSY to lead the campaign of redefining service for a greater impact.

Lion Lekan Owolabi has assisted in forming many clubs and he is also the guiding Lion to clubs such as, Lagos Eminent Lion Club, Lagos Eminent Golden Lions Club and Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club. He has attended and participated in various international Convention and African Forum. His hobbies include Reading, Teaching, Mentoring, Travelling, Swimming, Soccer, Squash and Humanitarian Services.
